Raised panel cherry with cedar lining - carved on three sides and top.

Inspired by the Hadley Chests made in Massachusetts in the 17th Century. Family name, crest or a significant date - such as a marriage - are traditioally carved onto these chests which are historically commissioned for a bride's Dowry Chest.

This Cree Studios Cherry Chest exemplifies a charming contempory version with Tree of Life and Floral Motifs. Additionally, each panel represents a different phase of the moon, symbolic of planting cycles and fertility, themes consistent with traditional chests.

Cree Studios blanket chests incorporate both modern and traditional motifs.
